TAJ MAHAL
One of the seven wonders of the world is the TAJ MAHAL is one of those. It was built in the 17th century with sparkling white marble by the Mughal emperor SHAH JAHAN. In memory of his beloved wife, he made this enormous big monument in the city of AGRA.
World wide travelers know the place as a symbol of love situated at the bank of the river Yamuna.
The motifs and the engraving on the monument still hold their beauty. It is surrounded by gardens that look like a landscape.
GOLDEN TEMPLE AMRITASAR
Monuments are not only a structure but it is also holding importance in the culture and so this shrine is THE GOLDEN TEMPLE also known as the Harmandir Sahib. The Mandir was built in 67 feet square of marble and a double floor structure. Later on, Maharaja Ranjit Singh made covered the upper half of the building with 400 kilos of gold leaf of many which look admirable.
It is the pilgrimage place and a holy place of Sikh gurudwara situated in Punjab. Golden temple is full with its gold gilded exterior.
MEENAKSHI TEMPLE MADURAI
The magnificent temple is situated in south India near the bank of river Vaigai in the auspicious city of Madurai. The temple is of the Hindu god shiva and Parvati. This place is famous for its structure and the gold glided Garbhgreh above the idols.
It’s been said and written in the mythology that the goddess Meenakshi was worn with three breasts and it is said that one breast would disappear automatically once she finds the right man for herself. With its giant structure and surface, it was built in ancient India.
MYSORE PALACE IN MYSORE
The city palace also known as Mysore palace in the city of Karnataka is the second most watched monument in India after the taj mahal. The one who loves architecture, tradition, and old paintings can never miss this place.
The palace is a giant in itself but it has very beautiful things which everyone can relate to their childhood. The doll pavilion or the doll treasury whereby all the traditional dolls are kept. The magnificent maharaja seat is made up of 85 kg of gold. the great grand hall of the Mysore palace is of an octagon shape and covered with glass ceilings on all sides.
Well, the best time to go and see the enormous beauty of the palace is at night time. With all the blazing lights it looks astonishing.
GATEWAY OF INDIA MUMBAI
Ironically the capital of India is New Delhi but this gateway of India is situated in Mumbai. Mumbai is also known as a Bollywood city and the place where the fashion industry is at its peak. The gateway of India, Mumbai was constructed in the 20th century with the Indo-Saracenic art form on it. Surrounded by the Arabian sea and the street food is beyond.
The immense monument of the gateway of India was built long back to welcome King George V and Queen Mary to the previous named BOMBAY.
RED FORT NEW DELHI INDIA
India is surrounded by an end number of events, we call it ITTIHAS KE PANNE – through the pages of history and so this monument too. The Red fort was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1648, the whole structure was built of red sandstone.
It is also mentioned in the UNESCO list of world heritage sites. Every year honorable prime minister of India goes to the red fort on the occasion of independence day and hoists our national flag.
Hawa mahal – PADHARO MARE DESH / JAIPUR
